Kelsy Karter Releases Stripped Down Cover Of “Give Me Novacaine”

In this house, we love Green Day AND Kelsy Karter. Until a day comes where we get a collaboration between the two, let’s just sit here and admire Kelsy’s cover of “Give Me Novacaine.”

This acoustic rendition of the classic from American Idiot is one of many covers Kelsy has prepared for her upcoming EP, Live From Nowhere. Arriving on May 7, the project will also feature her own versions of “Mars” by Yungblud, “My Future” by Billie Eilish, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” by Elton John, and more! Pre-save here.

“Billie Joe Armstrong put out a covers album last year during lockdown and it inspired me to make my own. As a massive Green Day fan, I had to cover one of their songs,” Kelsy spilled. “‘Give Me Novacaine’ is one of my favorite Green Day songs and I hope I’ve done it justice.”

Kelsy, you did that. Literally!
