Aidan Bissett’s preferred medium of communication is music, and being the receiver has never been more pleasant.
Aidan Bissett was born in Florida, and moved to Oregon when he was five years old. He grew up listening to bands such as Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, and started playing the electric guitar in second grade. He ended up moving back to Florida with his family as a teen, and started teaching himself to produce his music. On many occasions, Aidan would stay up very late on school nights trying to learn the ropes!
One night, Aidan created a track called “Different,” which ended up becoming his debut single. He quickly grew his online following, and decided to release “Worst Girls of All Time” next. The song landed on Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist, and led to a signing with Capitol Records last year.
The ways we all communicate with one another have been constantly changing, especially in the past year. Aidan’s new single, appropriately titled “Communication,” encourages listeners to talk out their feelings with one another! He says, “It seems like everyone’s in their own heads these days, especially in the past year. Communication’s really gotten lost, in friendships and relationships and society in general. The only way we’re going to fix anything is if we actually talk to each other. I wrote this song as a way of trying to reach out to people, and I hope it inspires everyone else to do the same.”
