It’s been an entire year since Jordan Suaste released his first single, and the occasion clearly calls for a celebration. While you prepare the cake and balloons, Jordan will bring the music. More specifically, an amped-up version of “Hookup Culture” perfect for any party!
When Jordan released his acoustic version of “Hookup Culture” a year ago, he was in for a life-changing experience.
“It was the very first time I ever put out music and it means more to me than words can describe,” Jordan recalls. “This song is really all about self love and setting boundaries- nowadays, the world is so caught up in online and social standards and I feel like a lot of people just want to hookup and have sex. I decided I’d write a song about loving yourself and knowing your worth and deciding to say you’re not really into it. I’m very excited to finally share the produced version of this song with the world, a year later! It feels like such a full circle moment and the beautiful end of this chapter and the start of the next.”
2021 in itself has been a lovely year for Jordan Suaste, to say the least! Back in February, the 20-year-old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist released his swoon-worthy ballad “If The World Ended Tonight,” as part of To All The Boys: Always And Forever (Music From The Netflix Film). The song landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday and Fresh & Chill playlists, as well as Apple Music’s New Music Daily and Relationship Goals playlists. Jordan is gearing up to release more music throughout the remainder of the year, and (I really don’t know if my heart will be able to handle it.)
In a time where many things seem so temporary, we must remember that self-love is forever… and so is my love for this song!
