We’re three days away from hearing BTS’ new single “Butter,” and the guys just did ARMY a solid by releasing the official music video trailer!
Who knew a short clip of BTS bopping their heads from side to side with a picture of some pancakes at the end would cause so much hysteria? Well… I did.
Remember that time when RM went on VLive and said, “Are your legs tired ’cause you’re running in my mind? OOO”? Well, I’m convinced you don’t necessarily need legs to run through someone’s mind. Everything about the “Butter” music video teaser has been running through my mind like a liquid. First, we must speak of the outfits. Everyone looks absolutely stunning in their suits, and the unbuttoned tops are always the chef’s kiss. V and Suga’s glasses just give their looks another little sprinkle of badassery.
J-Hope’s hair and facial expressions deserve a paragraph of their own. Not only is he rocking his blonde locks, but the (exposed forehead) creates such a fierce look. If I were to see him walk into a room looking like that, I would think he’s a fierce fashionista who may very well tell me my wardrobe sucks. And guess what? I absolutely would throw out my entire wardrobe and start fresh because J-Hope told me to. Just kidding of course, as we all know our Hobi is too sweet to do such a thing!
But if there’s one thing that this clip (especially J-Hope’s expression) is making me think of, it’s the “War of Hormone” music video. Maybe it’s the black and white. Maybe it’s the super sweet, yet total bad boy looks. I don’t know, but what I do know is I’m living for it. Yes I am.
This beat is sick!
I got MAJOR Queen “Another One Bites The Dust” vibes from that beat. A girl can only dream that Brian May and Roger Taylor will hit these boys up. I don’t think I’ll be dreaming for too long though, because the official Queen Twitter account already gave BTS a huge shout out!

But, I also got Michael Jackson “Thriller” vibes, thanks to Suga. I think it has everything to do with his outfit, as well as the head movements. If you really put thought into it, you might see what I see – and if you don’t, perhaps it’s my sign to head back to the circus.
“Butter” seems like it will be a delightfully funky track that we can dance to all summer long. It’s another chart topper in making, and a song just waiting to make history!
