vaultboy Throws His Own Party In “everything sucks” Music Video

Party of one? Sure, why not. After all, vaultboy has more than enough reasons to throw one today!

Back in January, vaultboy posted a 30 second clip of his debut single “everything sucks” on TikTok. Co-written alongside gnash, the song channeled many of the angsty, frustrated feelings young people have experienced throughout the pandemic. It quickly resonated with many users, and was used in over 109k videos. Fans were craving for an official release, so vaultboy decided to give it to them in May!

“It’s crazy to me how a song I wrote in my bedroom about looking on the bright side has connected to so many people all over the world,” vaultboy says. “We’re all so similar in that way; we’re just looking for a reason to smile and be okay.”

It’s a huge accomplishment for vaultboy, who started showcasing his musical talents online in 2018. Gaming also became a full-time gig for him, but after gaining plenty of experience streaming himself singing and performing, he decided to start his TikTok account under the name vaultboy in late 2020. As more and more people built a connection with his music, bigger projects fell into place. For example, vaultboy co-wrote Sarah Barrios’ recent single “Have We Met Before?” featuring Eric Nam. And of course, there was “everything sucks.”

Now, let’s celebrate with the new music video for “everything sucks”… shall we? Check it out below!
