Sometimes you end up doing the most when you’re feeling the most. We all have that one thing we love to indulge in to help us escape from something bothersome, even if it’s not the best for us. “Too Much” is Hunter Blair Ambrose’s story of experiencing it all!
In her late teens, Hunter Blair Ambrose worked with some of the top producers and musicians in the game. She also became an in-house songwriter and studio vocalist at Tarpan Studios in San Francisco, and was eager to get the ball rolling at an even faster pace. After attending the Berklee College of Music, Hunter worked hard with her team to write and produce material for her debut EP Scorpio Rising.
A little over a year after the arrival of the EP, Hunter is gearing up to release her full-length album Scorpio Season. The project explores what happens when romance takes a wrong turn, and “Too Much” can definitely apply to many stages of that process. Hunter says, “I wrote this song to take accountability for my avoidance issues. For a long time, I would ignore my problems by indulging in partying and drinking until I realized it was getting to be too much. This song is about dancing and drinking to avoid your pain which can be a good and bad thing.”
Dancing to “Too Much” will be good for you though… so get to it!
