Poet. Lover. Artist. There’s many titles that could fit Otto, the UK singer-songwriter with a blossoming creative mind. After listening to his picturesque new single “Amelia,” perhaps you’ll come up with some more.
Who is Amelia though? Otto says, “’Amelia’ is the embodiment of freedom. She is the one thing out of reach that you long for. She’s the warmth you need in winter days, she’s the breeze that hits you in the summer haze. She’s everything you’ve wished for that you currently can’t have.”
While she may not be in reach, more music from Otto definitely is. Last year, Otto was signed to Bay Street Records, founded by Dave Smith of Eurythmics. Dave mentioned, “Once I delved into Otto’s Alladdin’s Cave of Music he was making in the old Post office, I realized he was a true artist. And after many chats about creativity and the way in which he worked playing all the instruments and meticulously recording himself I was blown away, and of course his voice is heavenly, I just had to continue working with him which led to signing Otto to Bay Street Records.”
Shortly after, Otto released his debut single “Tell Me Something,” which received support from BBC Radio 1 and 2. Having penned even more songs throughout quarantine, Otto is ready to let the whole world enjoy the goodies he has prepared.
