Are you someone who is all that? And by all that, I mean someone who considers themselves to be the “main character” wherever they go. Someone who can’t help being the life of the party, and who loves calling the shots. If so, you’ll be living for He’s All That!
Earlier today, the official trailer for He’s All That hit the web. This reimagined version of the 1999 film She’s All That will find Padgett (Addison Rae) living her ideal high school life as an ultra-popular beauty influencer with a dreamy popstar boyfriend. That dream suddenly turns into a nightmare when Padgett catches him cheating as he’s live streaming, and she ends up going viral for all of the wrong reasons. In an attempt to mend her reputation, Padgett makes a bet that she can turn her classmate Cameron (Tanner Buchanan) into the total opposite of scruffy. He’s All That arrives on Netflix on August 27. Check out the trailer below!
To celebrate the release of He’s All That, Astralwerks will be releasing He’s All That (Music From The Netflix Film) on August 27. The 16-track compilation album will feature songs such as “Carried Away” by Surf Mesa and Madison Beer, “Electric” by Katy Perry, “Chain My Heart” by Topic and Bebe Rexha, plus tons of other recent hits that may still be giving you the butterflies. The soundtrack will also include new songs from Blu de Tiger, Valentino Khan and ALMA, Kaz Gamble and Doug Ray, and of course, Cyn!
He’s All That will be a pop culture innovation in itself, as the film follows a plot most young people in today’s age should be able to connect with. Cyn wanted to do a little cultural resetting of her own, so she decided to cover Sixpence None the Richer’s “Kiss Me” for the film’s soundtrack. The original version was featured in She’s All That, ended up receiving a GRAMMY nomination, and was a Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit back in 1999.
While it may have been quite a task for Cyn, she was more than ready to take it on! She spilled, “Of course, there are many songs that have influenced my career, but of all the songs in the universe, ‘Kiss Me’ has to be one of my absolute favorites. I have many fond memories of discovering my voice to ‘Kiss Me’ while riding in the backseat of my mom’s car. When I was approached with the opportunity to sing this song, I was ecstatic and so grateful. I am thrilled with how it turned out and can’t wait to see it in He’s All That.”
