If nothing lasts forever, AViVA really wants you to know that certain feelings won’t last forever either.
However, the Sydney-born artist is doing all she can to keep herself and others feeling good for more than just a moment. Ever since releasing her 2017 single “GRRRLS,” AViVA has been on a mission to be a voice for those who may consider themselves to be outcasts. She’s shared the stage with artists such as YUNGBLUD, Poppy, and Tonight Alive, and she’s currently gearing up to release her debut novel SELF/LESS on September 28.
If there’s any rules or limitations to creativity, it should be clear that AViVA is ready to shatter them all. But there’s no need to be alone in your feelings, and AViVA also makes it clear in her new single “Melancholy.” In the song, she encourages others to avoid blowing off their emotions, despite an inevitable fear of changes that may follow events that led to those emotions surfacing.
AViVA says, “Seemingly cheerful and upbeat from the outside, it doesn’t matter what makes you feel that way, sometimes feeling down is the only way you can feel, but the power of the last line ‘it will never be the same’ is where the core message of the song lies. Even though after negative experiences things often aren’t the same, we are always free to learn and grow from our experiences. Feeling melancholy, like so many feelings, is just a temporary state. Things will, as they always do, get better.”
