Back for her first release since 2020, XYLØ’s new single “aliens” serves as a shoutout to everyone who currently feels like a misfit. The dark, yet dazzling track finds XYLØ searching for solitude as she describes feeling lost in a superficial world.
“‘aliens’ was written after a girls night with my childhood friends,” XYLØ spills. “Some have seen major success and some are still searching for what they want. We all come from different backgrounds and upbringings, but the one thing that joins us is the commonality of feeling lost. No matter how much or how little we have. And rather than being afraid of it, going along for the ride.”
Having released a handful of heartfelt EPs, starting her own record label, and collaborating with The Chainsmokers for a platinum record, XYLØ has proudly created her own utopia for herself in the music world. “aliens” marks the start of a new chapter for the artist, as it’s the first single from her upcoming debut album unamerican beauty.
