Sabrina Carpenter is shedding light on a feeling many may know all too well.
Last year, the multi-talented artist re-introduced herself with singles such as “Skin” and “Skinny Dipping.” By taking on a more mature sound, Sabrina Carpenter is now giving the world a taste of her reality as a young adult. Today, she gets to do it again with her new single “Fast Times”!
Written by Sabrina, John Ryan, Julia Michaels, and J.P. Saxe, “Fast Times” is a testament to the twists and turns of everyday life. Let’s face it – life can quickly throw you into situations you may or may not have seen coming. Whether they’re good or bad, it’s all a part of the ride.
Sabrina spilled, “I’m in my early twenties, and it sometimes feels like you have to pick up, digest, process your emotions and move on before you even realize what happened. Reminds me of the times in life where we act on impulse knowing we risk the consequences of what that might bring but it’s worth it for the ride of what could be.”
“Fast Times” in itself pulls Sabrina into a different sonic direction than we’ve seen in the past. It may be a little slow for some, but it screams 60s or 70s pop bliss, and it works beautifully… especially with the music video!
