Still Woozy and Remi Wolf have sprung into action once again!
As the days get a little warmer and the sun seems to stay out for longer, Still Woozy and Remi Wolf’s new collaboration “Pool” will leave you feeling as refreshed as a swim in a pool during a heat wave. Its delicate melodies will gently creep over you like a wave reaching the shore on a beach, and the story of how it all came together will drench you in happiness.
(Okay, enough with being “poetic” or whatever, but this song really does have an amazing backstory.)
Back in 2018, both artists met for the very first time at one of Still Woozy’s shows at The Roxy in Los Angeles. Once Still Woozy had the opportunity to check out Remi’s music, he instantly fell in love with her vibrant brand of indie pop. He invited Remi to join him on a tour in 2019, and their friendship grew even more while on the road. Two years later, Still Woozy and Remi Wolf were hanging out by a pool and decided to create a song together. After reaching out to Solomonophonic, the three managed to write “Pool” all in one afternoon!
“It was one of the quickest written songs I’ve ever been a part of,” says Still Woozy. “Remi and I had been hanging out talking about life all morning, so the content for the song was fresh on our minds as we went to write. She recorded her verse in one take and we knew instantly it was something special.”
“Pool was such a beautifully natural collaboration – and is a great reflection of how life can just so seamlessly turn into art,” says Remi Wolf. “It perfectly showcases mine and Sven’s comfortability with each other and how both of our wildly different skill sets can create something that feels so true to both of us. We went into the writing process with the intention of being 100% honest and specific with where we were both at that day and I love how when I listen to the song it feels like a true time capsule to both of our life situations at the time.”
We love to see it, don’t we? While Still Woozy is currently in the smack middle of his sold-out North American tour, Remi Wolf is announcing her Gwingle Gwongle Tour for fall 2022! It all kicks off on September 21 at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA.
