Oh, Dreamer Boy… how do you always manage to find a way to make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside without fail?
As Dreamer Boy continues his mission to document the realities of this ever-changing world through his music, the singer/songwriter returns today with a midtempo acoustic daydream titled “JUMPSHOT!”. The song not only serves as an ode to his beloved sports, but it’s also another entry in his catalog of introspective records of pandemic life.
Yup… it’s true! Dreamer Boy not only enjoys getting lost in a song, but he also loves getting lost on the basketball court with his best buddies. He spilled, “We would play a game and after catching our breaths, say, ‘Run it back. We existed outside space and time for those games. This song is about what true friendship can feel like in the wake of turbulent change.”
Perhaps it’s not just his love for the sport in itself, but it’s also his love for the quality time he gets to spend with those he cares about the most. Speaking of quality time, Dreamer Boy will surely be spending quality time with his fans this summer as he embarks on his North American tour with BENEE.
