Darla Jade has realized it might be best to just tackle your emotions head-on, especially with a song.

At first, Darla Jade thought she was destined to spend her life in the musical theater space. After all, she quite literally grew up in musical theater, having taken lessons from the ages of 5-17. But in her later teen years, Darla started playing gigs all over the UK. She realized she really loved performing pop music, and started writing her own.

Fast forward to 2022, Darla Jade has written for artists such as Gorgon City, BLOND:ISH, Ferry Corsten and more. Recently having introduced her new single “Can’t Run Forever” into the world, Darla uses the song as a chance to reflect upon a habit many of us tend to nurture unwillingly.

Darla confesses, “I had a lot going on last year, and I realised that I tend to bottle up my feelings and essentially just run away from my issues, so this song is all about me addressing that and trying to get myself to ‘just face it’ as it all ‘catches up eventually.

Darla’s stunning vocals will forever live rent free in my mind after listening to this song. It’s a refreshing feeling, and I’d take this any day rather than feeling overwhelmed! Give it a listen below.
