Here’s a song worthy of every yee you can haw!
Diplo is bringing his country persona Thomas Wesley back to the forefront this Spring. His first order of duty is making the world dance to his new single “Use Me (Brutal Hearts)” featuring Dove Cameron and Sturgill Simpson as Johnny Blue Skies.
Together, the three artists put a fierce country/disco twist on Bedouin Soundclash’s 2010 original song. But if Diplo’s reimagined version of the track doesn’t make you want to ride a mechanical bull while covered in a ton of glitter, the music video totally will! Peep Sean Penn in the video portraying Sturgill Simpson, and an intriguing night out at a bar.
“Use Me (Brutal Hearts)” is a nibble of Diplo’s upcoming album Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 – Swamp Savant, out on April 28. Earlier this year, Diplo shared “Wasted” (with Kodak Black and Koe Wetzel), the first single from the album.

Now if you’re asking ME… this is going to be my personal song of the summer, and I hope it’ll be yours too! I shed a tear of happiness upon the first listen, and (likely 80 plays later… because I can’t keep track of how many times I’ve played this song already) I still get that same giddy feeling that I did the first time I heard it. That’s when you know something is bound to become a classic.
