From performing as support for Coldplay to Noah Cyrus and even holding her own intimate US shows, Gigi Perez certainly knows how it feels to get up on stage and let her extraordinary vocals captivate the hearts of a crowd. The singer recently released her How To Catch A Falling Knife EP, which will totally hit different live.

At a recent press conference with °1824, I got to listen to Gigi share some of her favorite memories from being on the road. Make no mistake, performing in stadiums with Coldplay and theaters all across the country with Noah Cyrus was quite nerve-wrecking for Gigi. It was uncharted territory, and she described the two tours as a “supercut.” While she still gets a bit nervous before going on stage, she admits the joy she feels overpowers everything else.

“I think live shows in general are where I thrive the most in terms of getting the story across,” Gigi said.

There were plenty of moments from Gigi’s tour with Noah Cyrus that she can’t erase from her mind! One of them involved going to a county fair with Noah and spilling a whole water bottle on her butt. (Hey, it happens!) Another exceptionally memorable moment for Gigi was walking into a laser tag facility and being able to play for free. No one questioned anything!

Well deserved, right?

Gigi loves to inspire, but she also loves to be inspired. I asked Gigi about her all-time favorite concert, and she revealed it was a small show held by Indigo De Souza at a bar in Boston. Her first project had recently been released, and Gigi recalled Indigo having roughly 15k listeners on Spotify. There were about 30 people at the show, and she was absolutely mind blown watching such an incredible talent perform. Indigo De Souza’s base has grown since then, and Gigi regards her evolution as “one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever seen.”
