[PICS!] Bruno Major @ The Wiltern – September 13, 2023

It was a memorable night at The Wiltern when Bruno Major made his way through LA. The British singer would be holding two shows at the theater, and fans gathered around all corners of the venue to enjoy some fantastic storytelling and melodies.

Lindsey Lomis opened the show, and it seemed like one of those times when the stars all aligned. At the very beginning of her set, she announced that she literally just moved to LA. This was officially a hometown show for her, and she expressed her excitement for the occasion. (It was impossible to not feel excited for her as well!)

In between performing her alt-pop gems, Lindsey made a shocking revelation to the crowd. Roughly four years ago, she entered a contest to open for Bruno Major in New York. She was 16 at the time, and the show was the night before her junior prom. She won the contest, and she won the very guitar she was using during her current performance. Just four years later, Lindsey had the chance to open up for the entirety of Bruno Major’s US tour! She also mentioned how Bruno has been a long time inspiration of hers, making this moment even sweeter.

Just a few moments later, Bruno Major took the stage and was greeted by a roaring applause. It was the beginning of a gentle moment in time, as the stage lights were rather dim and Bruno’s smooth voice flowed throughout the theater. Fans in the crowd – especially couples, began to sway together to the music. It was so easy to forget about the loud, bustling city outside of the walls of the theater. We were all in our own little universe!

Bruno mentioned how it had been four years since his last tour, and his second time performing at The Wiltern. One could only imagine how eager Bruno was to get back on the road and finally perform songs from his 2020 album, To Let a Good Thing Die. He also entertained the crowd with plenty of selections from his latest album Columbo.
