Rising artist Kayla DiVenere is kinda ready to put herself first.
In her new single “Date Myself,” Kayla looks back upon people who didn’t exactly bring out the best in her, and how tiresome it was to not be treated the way she expected. When others around you let you down, often times you may be left feeling like the only person you can really trust is yourself!
“Writing “’Date Myself’” reminded me of how beautiful it is to spend time by yourself and how important it is to be comfortable owning your self-love and high standards,” Kayla says. “Being able to hear it back after writing it and to scream it at the top of my lungs has comforted me more than any guy has, and I hope it can comfort people too in any way they can relate to it.”
Kayla’s pop-rock sound on “Date Myself” is bound to leave you feeling refreshed and confident! Themes of self-love and independence can be found all throughout Kayla’s catalogue. Kayla is also an actress who has played roles in shows such as “Law & Order,” “Love Victor,” and “Light as a Feather.” Creativity constantly flows through Kayla’s veins, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store next!
