Music is Lily Williams’ love language, and her new single “Love You To Death” is her way of displaying affection this Valentine’s Day!
“Love You To Death” is a dreamy, gentle pop song where Lily Williams gushes over a very special someone in a vibrant manner.
Lily says, “The day that we wrote this song, one of my amazing co-writers had just gotten a puppy and was talking about the fact that he was so cute that he almost wanted to squish him! We started playing with the double entendre of the saying ‘love you to death,’ which you can especially hear in the chorus! The lyrics combined with the bossa nova influence created such a light-hearted, yet meaningful little song. This was such a fun song to write, and it’s such a fun song to sing! I think it might just be the perfect way of saying ‘I love you’ to your Valentine this year!”
Once you listen to “Love You To Death” closely, it’ll be hard to deny the British-born artist from Southern California is a total pro when it comes to picking up a pen and a microphone. While Lily did attend the famed Berklee College, she found herself stuck at home in London once the pandemic hit. Determined to let her creativity reign, she took the opportunity to write tons of songs and share previously unreleased demos online. She quickly started growing her audience, and decided to make the fan favorite “I Hope You Think Of Me” the first single from her album How The Story Ends. In 2023, Lily took the world by storm with her singles “Learning Curve” and “Things That Fall.” She recently joined Haley Joelle on the Me and My Past Tour, and has a very promising future ahead!
