Sebastian Schub may be a fresh face to the music scene, but his new single “I Can’t Believe We Never Went Out Dancing” will cement him as someone you’ll definitely want to keep tabs on.
As Sebastian was growing up, he was encouraged by his mother to go all-in and pursue his passions with all his might. He learned how to play his favorite songs, and spent countless hours busking throughout London and Dublin. In October 2024, Sebastian released his debut single “Sing Like Madonna,” which was met with a warm reception by fans online. The next treat Sebastian has prepared for his listeners is “I Can’t Believe We Never Went Out Dancing.”
With this song, Sebastian Schub showcases a grandiose vocal performance – one that can truly fill a large room with feelings of resentment and anguish as he reflects on a relationship that could’ve been so much more. It’s the perfect example of how the ugliness of pain and heartbreak can be turned into a true masterpiece.
Sebastian says, “The song was initially born from a little poem I wrote in the middle of the night not being able to sleep. It’s a rare example of me pretty much writing all the lyrics before I had any music. For a long time it was nothing but an elegiac little rumble on the piano – something I kept coming back to but found myself unable to finish the song. It finally clicked on a trip to Berlin last spring. And the rumble turned into quite the ballad.”
