IDID just did that!
Starship Entertainment’s brand new boy group IDID made their official debut on Monday with their first mini album, I did it. IDID is Starship’s first new boy group in five years, following the footsteps of their seniors CRAVITY and MONSTA X. JANG YONGHOON, KIM MINJAE, PARK WONBIN, CHU YOOCHAN, PARK SEONGHYEON, BAEK JUNHYUK, and JEONG SEMIN all make up the seven-member team that seeks to inspire the world with their determined spirit.
Formed through the survival show Debut’s Plan earlier this year, IDID wasted absolutely no time capturing the hearts of fans worldwide. The group made their first international appearance at KCON LA in August, where they announced their debut and performed their pre-release single “STEP IT UP.”
As one can imagine, the name IDID stems from the phrase “I did it,” which makes for quite a fitting title for a debut album! Fans can find “STEP IT UP” on the album, along with five other tracks that collectively create a feeling of exciting, unfiltered young energy. The focus track “제멋대로 찬란하게” aka “(CHAN-RAN)” finds the members embracing the hardships and turmoil that helped them become stronger in the end. IDID mentions in the song that even though not everything will be perfect all the time, they will still perservere, and celebrate the bright days and great gifts life will have in store.
