A2O MAY has taken the world by storm this year, and it was time for a proper celebration of the success of the Chinese girl group.

On October 24, A2O MAY released their first album PAPARAZZI ARRIVE, which features their previously released singles “BOSS,” “B.B.B,” and their rendition of “Under My Skin.” The album also introduces listeners to the title track “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE,” a glowing electro-pop anthem that delivers a gentle touch of early 2010s nostalgia. When listening to the song, one could easily picture themselves riding down LA’s Sunset Boulevard in a convertible on a sunny day. “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE” is a fun song that invites listeners to channel their inner superstar during their daily lives.

Surely, A2O MAY have proven themselves to be global superstars throughout 2025. The five member group made their debut late last year under A2O Entertainment, a new company founded by legendary K-Pop industry executive Lee Soo Man. Their first single “Under My Skin” reached the #39 spot on U.S. Top 40 Radio, making them the first ever Chinese girl group to appear on the Mediabase Top 40 chart. Their second single “BOSS” also reached the #32 spot on the chart, another historic feat for the girls.

On the afternoon of October 24, hundreds of music industry figures, influencers, and A2O MAY’s most devoted fans came together at The Vermont Hollywood to celebrate the release of PAPARAZZI ARRIVE, as well as all of A2O MAY’s milestones that led to this moment!

The bottom level of the theater was filled with interactive photo op zones, including an area for guests to place their phones on a tripod and create their desired content in front of photos of each member of A2O MAY. Shortly after 6PM, the members took the stage, impressing the crowd with an electrifying performance of “BOSS” and “B.B.B (Bigger Badder Better).”

Famed K-Pop columnist Jeff Benjamin guided a conversation with the members, allowing the audience to get to know A2O MAY even better. The members expressed their gratitude towards their fans (known as MAYnia) for their warm response towards the album.

“We always check all the reactions, comments, even the fan posts,” SHIJIE said. “I think it’s crazy how fast MAYnia has learned the songs! You guys keep giving us a lot of motivation every day, so thank you guys so much.”

Jeff Benjamin also asked the group about what “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE” means to them. KAT said, “This is our way of saying we’re ready, we’re global, and we’re ready to shine if there’s a place for us in the spotlight.”

SHIJIE said, “We wanted to show confidence. Even if the cameras keep flashing, we’re always true to ourselves.”
