Aimee deBeer was born in South Africa, and spent her early childhood living on her father’s sailboat. She currently lives in Los Angeles, having also lived in England, Texas, and New York. Aimee deBeer makes dreamy songs that will feed listeners who crave music that allows their minds to wander into a different dimension. It may be easy to draw comparisons between her and Lana Del Rey, but Aimee’s music delivers its own uniqueness!
Aimee has just released her debut EP Who Will Save The Universe?, which features six ultra-vibey tracks like “Billboards” and “Come Into My Bedroom”.
“This EP revolves around reconciling oneself with uncertainty,” Aimee explains. “The act of walking into the unknown can be both terrifying and exhilarating; soul crushing and marvelous. As humans, we develop countless coping mechanisms in the effort to both squash and defend our vulnerability. This EP provides a space where, even just for a few minutes, an alternative reality becomes accessible and a space to shed all armor is found.”
