19-year-old Spencer Barnett loves to tell stories through his music. As a matter of fact, he’s been working with major producers since he was 14 to bring these stories to life. In 2019, Spencer released his debut EP Reckless, followed by I’m Fine earlier this year.

Spencer is preparing to unveil the final chapter of his debut trilogy, with the release of his Welcome To My Mind EP on November 20. But, we certainly don’t have to wait until then to catch a glimpse of what goes on in Spencer’s world!

Today, Spencer released a gorgeous performance video for his latest single “Slow It Down.” The track outlines some of Spencer’s experiences in LA. In his own words, he says “This one is about my experience living in LA as an artist. It’s a place where every temptation is immediately accessible which can be hard to navigate at a young age.”

I think this video perfectly encapsulates that feeling,” Spencer adds. “I spent 3 weeks with the director, Bellamy Brewster, obsessing over every detail to ensure that this piece wrapped up all the underlying themes of my new EP ‘Welcome To My Mind’ and at the same time looked beautiful.”
