Big Hit Labels 2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: Get The Details!

svg57 Comments57svg4 Read Time4svg20 Views20

Last month, Big Hit Labels unveiled plans to hold a massive New Year’s Eve livestream show! The 2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE presented by Weverse will take place on December 31st at 9:30PM KST, and will feature performances from BTS, Bumzu, ENHYPEN, GFRIEND, NU’EST, Lee Hyun, and Tomorrow X Together. There will also be a special CONNECT stage with Shin Hae Chul, and collaboration stages with Halsey, Lauv, and Steve Aoki!

With the event being only four weeks away, information on streaming packages has finally been released. Here’s absolutely everything you’ll need to know, broken down in a way that is hopefully easy to understand.

THE BASICS

Tickets for the 2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE presented by Weverse will go on sale beginning on Tuesday, December 8 at 2PM KST. Tickets for the event will be on sale exclusively on the Weverse Shop app, via the 2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE shop. However, if you are a NU’EST OFFICIAL FAN CLUB ‘L.O.Λ.E’ 3rd Membership holder, you may purchase tickets via Interpark.

As with BTS’ BangBangCon and Map Of The Soul ON:E concerts, KISWE will once again be the client for online streaming. Just like these previous events, TWO devices may view on the same account at once. This means, you have the option of splitting the cost of a ticket with a friend or family member. Once you purchase your ticket, you can visit venewlive.com/concerts/nyel to log in with your Weverse Shop account, choose a user name, and test your camera views out. So ARMYs, you already know the drill!

PRICING

There are FOUR tiers of tickets available for purchase. The first two tiers are open for anyone to purchase. HD Single View tickets will cost ₩ 39,500, or approximately $36 USD. Limited quantities will be sold, but this will allow ticket holders to view the show from one camera angle only.

Next up is the HD Multiview 4 at ₩ 49,500, or approximately $45 USD. This option will allow viewers to choose between four camera angles to watch throughout the night.

The following two tiers will be sold exclusively to NU’EST, BTS, GFRIEND, TOMORROW X TOGETHER or ENHYPEN official membership holders. In order to purchase and watch, you must have an active membership in either of these communities.

HD Multiview 6 tickets will be priced at ₩ 49,500, or approximately $45 USD. These tickets will allow viewers to choose between the same four camera angles as the regular Multiview. In addition, there will also be two views of online MEET & GREET live streaming. The MEET & GREET will be held in a separate studio, and will give viewers an exclusive look into the artists night. This isn’t a “face to face” interaction meet and greet, so there’s no webcams involved on your end. (Think of the Mwave meet and greets!) More info below.

The final ticket tier is 4K Single View + HD Multiview 6. Priced at ₩ 59,500 or approximately $54 USD, this ticket will provide everything given in the HD Multiview 6 package. In addition, you’ll also have an extra camera view of the show, streaming in 4K. This package will be sold in limited quantities.

If you’re a visual person, check out the graph below!

BENEFITS

Everyone who purchases a ticket during the sales period will receive a special emblem on their My NX page after the show. There will also be access to a delayed single-view stream, taking place on January 2nd at 11AM KST. This is a single-camera view replay of the performance in HD.

And of course, you’ll also get some Weverse cash once the show ends.

MEET AND GREET

As of 12PM KST on December 17, meet and greet details have now been posted in each artists’ Weverse community!

During each meet and greet, the artist will randomly select fan questions, read special messages, and play a fun game of Would You Rather. In order to have your submissions considered, head on over to your fave’s Weverse community and look for the following hashtags on the Discover page.

#NYEL_MnG_Would_u_rather will be for questions for the “Balance Game,” aka Would You Rather.

#NYEL_MnG_To_BTS (or any other artist name) will be for sweet messages and stories you may want the artist to read!

Once you know what you’d like to submit under, create a new post with the respective hashtag. You can make more than one post, but don’t forget to cheer for others too! And of course, if you’ve purchased a HD Multi-view 6 or 4K Single View + HD Multi-view 6 ticket, you’ll get to watch it all unfold in real time.

WHAT ELSE?

It’s gonna be lit. And that’s that.

If you have any additional questions, let me know! This post will be updated as more info rolls in.

Sorry to bother you, but this is all new to me and I was wondering – for the HD single view, you can still login with 2 devices right? Also for HD single view – will you still get close ups or is just like just a camera focused on the whole stage?

Hi! So for any ticket type, you can log in on up to 2 devices with the same account. HD single view will be just one camera, but it’s not a stationary shot. The camera will move around and stuff. It’s just like watching any other concert or music show, if that makes sense 🙂

Hello!!! Just to confirm something because I’ve been looking for the answer non stop. If I split the money to buy the concert with another friend (she lives in another country) with the same account will we be able to watch the concert without any problem? Because there’s no information in the official page. I just want to be sure, has anyone tried it? 🥺🤷🏻‍♀️😆

Heyyy! So that’s exactly what I did for Bang Bang Con The Live and Map Of The Soul ON:E. You can be logged into the website (using your Weverse Shop login credentials) on two devices at once, but if someone attempts to log in on a third device, the first device gets kicked off. That being said, if you want to split the cost with a friend so you both watch on your own devices and it makes stuff cheaper, you absolutely can!! I hope that makes sense 🙂 Make sure you do it with someone you trust!

Hello, how will be the meet & greet? Can you actually interact with your chosen artist?

    • PlNKWIFI

      December 8, 2020 / at 7:59 amsvgReply

Hi! I’m sure Weverse will put out more info soon, but what I’m really thinking this will be is like a cam view with a special area where the artists do little activities backstage or maybe even answer questions that fans sent in for them. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the Mwave ones that Mnet does, but that’s basically what they do for theirs and what I think this might be. There’s no video call interaction with fans where you’re talking to the artist directly and they see you, and I feel like if there was going to be something like that included with this they’d disclose it ahead of time. But – ultimately we’ll just have to wait and see what’s up 🙂

            December 29, 2020 / at 5:30 am

All of that is TBA! There was an announcement made earlier that the show is going to be 100% pre-recorded (which is understandable, many other shows will be too) but I wish there was a little more clarity as to when each artist’s m&g content will air and how it will be done. I am going to assume all of those were pre-recorded too.

Hi!! So if you were to get the Multiview 6, would all 6 camera angles appear at the same time or the 4 concert cams appear first then the meet and great, or are the angles all separate? Also when it says Multiview, does it mean multiple ways to view on one screen or different screens?
    Thanks in advance 🙂

    • PlNKWIFI

      December 13, 2020 / at 10:24 pmsvgReply

Hi omg, good question! If this is going to work anything like bangbangcon and the mots on:e streams (which I have a huuuuuge feeling it will since the client is kiswe again) you’ll have to toggle in between each “view.” You can choose which camera view you want to see it from, and then switch to another whenever you want. This is what multiview is, compared to “single view” where there is only one camera view for that viewing option. I hope it makes sense!

I should also mention that if you’re gonna split your ticket with another person (like I am since I’m a brokemy 😭) whatever camera view *you* are watching does not affect what the person logged in on the other device sees. You will both be able to choose to watch any camera view that you want.

    December 16, 2020 / at 9:42 amsvgReply

Hi! I’m the same person that asked about the Multiview, I wanted to say thank you for answering my questions, I now have a ticket 😀
I’ve been considering if I should share my ticket with a friend, but I’m a bit uncomfortable with sharing my account information with them. Is there a way I can share it with them, without exposing my card info at the same time?
Also I’m confused as to how the logging on for the live stream is going to work?
    Thank you so much again

    • PlNKWIFI

      December 16, 2020 / at 1:10 pmsvgReply

Awww I’m so glad I could help 🥺 So to login for the concert, you go to vvenewlive.com/concerts/nyel then (select a language where you see the globe icon at the top) and right next to it there should be a login option. This is where you log into your Weverse Shop account, and then if you haven’t done so already, something comes up that says “verify ticket.” You will need to click that before watching, and you can totally do it now bc you already bought your ticket. Then an hour before the show you can click enter 🙂

But yes like you mentioned, if you share an account with your friend, and your friend decided to log into the actual Weverse Shop app using your account, they would be able to see your name, address, and phone number. No credit card info (since they process all payments thru PayPal and it never gets stored on the app, or at least for me it doesn’t) but regardless I would only share with a friend I trust!

Hi! It should be bought on the account of whoever will be using the ticket, since the tickets are non-transferrable.

Hey! So for whatever ticket you get, you can only login on 2 devices. Multi view has that name because once you’re logged in, that’s how many camera views you will have the option to switch between to watch the show from different angles.

Hi!! So I was just wondering about the meet and greet stuff, do you know if we have to pay seperate for it? I’m so confused since I’m an international fan all of the emails and stuff I’m seeing is in Korean. Oh also I’m using the site for the first time tonight for a different online concert so I’ll see what it’s like there but will I need to use a webcam for anything?

    • PlNKWIFI

      December 26, 2020 / at 9:19 pmsvgReply

Hey! So you won’t be needing a webcam – honestly speaking if we’re going to compare this to a meet and greet of an artist outside of the kpop space, (this) should have a totally different name. No one will be speaking directly to the artists/video chatting, they’ll kinda just be playing games, answering fan questions, doing some behind the scenes stuff maybe. If you want to see all of that, you’d need to get the Multiview 6 ticket. I hope that makes sense!
Also I know Weverse has been sending out a ton of emails over the past few days 😭 These are all basically alerts about their privacy policy, but I do get a little nervous when I see them lol.

Hi! If you tweet me or DM on Instagram @PLNKWIFI I can walk you step by step. In order to pay with a credit card (I paid with my Visa) you would need to do it via a PayPal account, and I guess they do it this way because it is much more secure.

Hi, I’m having trouble purchasing the ticket, and I’ve never had trouble before. It keeps insisting i use the Global choice rather than USA, where I live, but all my payment options have to be based in Korea. I don’t know if something’s wrong with my App or what. Can you help me? I really want to buy a ticket and time’s running out. ugh.

Hi! So you know how for BTS, TXT and Enhypen you have the choice between buying from the US and Global stores. For the New Years Eve stream, Weverse made only one store which is a global shop. When the payment options come up, you will use PayPal to submit payment. I hope this makes sense!

So for the meet and greet, I can just see them watch games and have a CHANCE of them answering my questions, but I cant TALK to them? and for the concerts will it be like the previous concert where there were many ARMYs on screen? I dont understand teh meet and greet very well.

    • PlNKWIFI

      December 30, 2020 / at 10:14 amsvgReply

Hi! For this concert there isn’t anything like ARMY ON AIR with MOTS ON:E where you’d be on a video screen. Everything has been pre-recorded out of precautions since the COVID cases are rising in South Korea. I took notices a lot of times in the K-Pop sphere you will see the word “meet and greet” but it doesn’t necessarily = you speaking face to face over video with the idols (aka like a video call.)

You can be logged in on up to two devices at the same time. So for example, I bought a ticket on my Weverse account. I will be logged in to watch on my computer, and I gave my friend my login info so she can watch on her phone. You and the other person would be sharing an account if you chose to take this route.
