Everything has looked different throughout the lockdown era, including first love. However, love is a force that just can’t be stopped, and so is music!

Last month, Surf Mesa and Madison Beer teamed up on “Carried Away,” a modern day love jam that focuses on the positive feelings associated with loving someone for the first time. Since then, the song has amassed over 10 million combined global streams. It also landed Surf and Madison on the cover of Spotify’s Pop Rising playlist, and an appearance on Apple Music’s The Travis Mills Show.

Even if two lovers aren’t able to partake in the activities they’d totally do if there wasn’t a pandemic, what truly matters is the fact that they have each other. The “Carried Away” music video is a reflection of this, and celebrates just being together! Director Loris Russier (Q, Audrey Nuna) found inspiration for the clip in the French saying, “loin des yeux, près du coeur” (far from the eyes, close to the heart).

From the rooftops, to the empty backyard swimming pools, to your own bedrooms – love is everywhere! It’s what you want it to be.
