Even though we may seem quite divided as a society, there’s one thing that can certainly bring us all together… a mutual disgust towards fake friends! No matter one’s age, it’s never fun having “friends” around who leave you feeling like they don’t have your back. Jillian Jordyn has experienced her own share of fake friends too, so she decided to take a stand against such behavior in her first original single, appropriately titled “Fake Friends”!

As a kid, entertaining a crowd was something Jillian Jordyn could see herself doing for the rest of her life. Jillian loves acting, and you may have even seen her play the role of Attica Staines on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also loves to sing, and has been singing ever since she started speaking! For her first professional gig, Jillian performed at a halftime show at Madison Square Garden in 2017. Since then, she’s performed the National Anthem at Citi Field for the New York Mets and Barclays Center for the Brooklyn Nets. She also joined the Boys of Summer Tour in 2019, and performed at Winter Lights in Orlando.

“Fake Friends” was written by Jillian herself, with an intention of reminding listeners what it really means to be a true friend. Jillian spilled, “Growing up, I was always taught that friends are supposed to build each other up and support one another, but life quickly taught me that’s not always true. ‘Fake Friends’ is about discovering truths and how my eyes become wide open to the reality of some ‘friendships.’ This song is me wanting to share my hopes of empowerment, the importance of kindness and inclusion. We need more ambassadors in this world to be examples of what a true friend should be. Through this song, I hope to convey a message to everyone that we need to support and love each whenever we can.”
