Amelia Moore made sure that her introductory single would be one that leaves a great aftertaste. The 20-year-old Georgia native has been teasing “sweet and sour” all over social media over the past few weeks, and has even amassed over 50k followers on Spotify prior to its release.

Now, it’s the moment of truth for Amelia… literally. With “sweet and sour,” Amelia is showing everyone who she truly is – a sweet, caring individual who refuses to be tested or taken advantage of. “This song is a perfect statement of who I am as a person,” Amelia spills. For the most part I’m a total angel and super-sweet, but the second you mess with me or any of my friends, that’s all over. It’s kind of a warning to everyone, telling them to be careful and tread lightly, or else they’ll get the sour.”

She’s also an artist living out her dreams to the fullest extent.

While growing up in a town just outside Atlanta, Amelia picked up on playing the violin and piano, as well as participating in her church choir. On top of that, Amelia had been writing her own songs since she was a teen. Attending Belmont University seemed like a clear choice, and while attending the school, Amelia would frequently visit LA to meet with producers. After meeting her collaborator Pink Slip, the two started brewing up tons of tunes, including “sweet and sour.” Amelia eventually dropped out of Belmont, and settled in LA to continue her artistic endeavors. Throughout the pandemic, Amelia would showcase some of her work on TikTok, leading her to gain tons of attention on the platform and signing a deal with Capitol Records!

“I’ve been working so hard over the past few years, and waited until I found the most authentic version of my music before putting anything out,” Amelia says. “I hope my songs make people feel powerful, and inspire them to believe in themselves and trust their gut no matter what everyone else is doing. You really can alter your reality, and it’s completely up to you to make that happen.”
