A little motivation is always welcome, but Sage Siegel (aka SAGE) wants to make sure you have a whole lot more – whenever and wherever you need it! If you could use a personal pep talk right about now, her new single “Finish Line” is sure to get the job done.
While “Finish Line” is only SAGE’s second single, she’s been writing and singing up a storm online. Over the past few years, the 18-year-old artist from Toronto has been sharing covers of her favorite songs on YouTube and TikTok. In fact, her cover of “As The World Caves In” by Matt Maltese went viral this past July, surpassing 2 million views! It all unfolded just days after SAGE released her debut single “Homesick Feelin'” on Spotify.
SAGE practically started singing the moment she was born… or perhaps a few moments later. In all seriousness though, singing has allowed SAGE to connect with her own feelings in the most effective way possible. From losing her father unexpectedly at the age of 3 to growing up with a younger brother with non-verbal autism, SAGE has had quite a bit on her mind and heart as the years have gone by. Her resilience makes “Finish Line” even more sentimental, and also promises that no matter what life has in store for her, she’ll keep on singing!
“I wanted to create a motivational song that people can listen to, to put them in whatever mindset they need to be in. There’s always the uncertainty of crossing the finish line, which is why this song emphasizes the fact that you may reach your goal, but there can also be some barriers in your way, and that’s okay too.” – SAGE
