When seven of the most influential women in K-Pop come together for a fierce project, feel free to call it a power play – or Girls On Top!
On December 27, SM Entertainment revealed plans for an exciting dynamic project titled Girls On Top (GOT). Each release and concept will see a new lineup, intense new songs, stages, and plenty of empowerment from SM’s finest female artists.
The starting lineup includes BoA, Hyoyeon and Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation, Seulgi and Wendy of Red Velvet, and Karina and Winter of aespa. Together, these seven are known as the unit “GOT the beat,” and performed their first digital single “Step Back” at SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA on January 1st. (It’s the ultimate “hands off my man” anthem!)
With GOT the beat, Girls On Top has brought together three generations of K-Pop icons to help usher in a new era of iconic collaborations among SM Entertainment artists! It will be absolutely exciting to see what comes next, as the year where Girls (are literally) On Top continues.
