FLETCHER Makes Hearts Flutter In San Diego!

FLETCHER concerts may as well be considered one of the best group therapy sessions money can get you into. Over the past two years, the singer has spilled her heart out to listeners worldwide with her EP The S(ex) Tapes, as well as a variety of singles that served as snapshots of many stages of her life. It was time for her to spill her heart out on stage, and she did so in front of a sold out crowd at The Observatory North Park in San Diego on March 5!

Amelia Moore set the mood in the venue by kicking off the show with her new single “Moves.” By new, we’re talking one day old. The song was literally released the day before the show! As she jumped around and worked the crowd, she invited everyone to do the exact same with a very enthusiastic rendition of Estelle and Kanye West’s “American Boy.” Amelia also took the opportunity to introduce the crowd to her previous releases, as well as tease an upcoming track.

If you were already super stoked to see what else Amelia has in store for 2022, her performances will send your excitement through the roof. Up next, G Flip succeeded in leaving the audience shook with their singing and drumming. G Flip, born Georgia Flip, has been playing the drums since childhood, but can also play several other instruments such as the guitar, bass, and keyboard. G Flip can also produce, and can put on a very bold performance! Once you’ve experienced shouting “SHE SAID SHE’S ONLY GAY FOR ME!” in a crowd over a thousand bodies deep, you’ve gotta admit… it’s pretty life changing.

As soon as it was time for FLETCHER to hit the stage, the crowd was ready to keep the party going! Her songs have a certain level of intimacy that can make a listener feel as though she’s sharing her life experiences directly with them, and them only. FLETCHER was able to effortlessly bring this effect to to the crowd. At times, it was easy to forget you were surrounded by such a large crowd singing along to the tunes of heartbreak, lust, love, and changes. It was all about you, her, the music, and nothing more. (Also, shouting every lyric to “Bitter” as you truly feel and believe in every word you’re singing, all while dancing at the same time is a totally sacred experience.)

It was impossible to not get lost in the music, especially with a grand performance of “Healing” serving as the finale for the show. I left the show feeling cleansed, and my heart flutters a bit when I look back at the night. Others are bound to feel the same way when they attend the remaining dates of FLETCHER’s first headlining tour!
