Okay, let’s face it… there’s not much that could have fully prepared the BTS ARMY for all the tender moments we saw the members experience at the 2022 Grammy Awards. This year’s star studded gala was held in Las Vegas, just days before BTS formally take over the city with their PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE concert series.
While a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, four sold out shows at Allegiant Stadium, and a ‘Live Play’ concert feed at the MGM Grand Garden Arena (the same venue the Grammys were held at on Sunday) are all a flex like no other, BTS have even more to brag about today! From awesome outfits to a beyond buzz-worthy performance, the members were truly living it up at the 2022 Grammys. Here’s a recap of their best moments!
Red Carpet Slayage
The internet was sent into a frenzy when BTS arrived at the red carpet… and rightfully so! All seven members rocked suits from Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2022 Menswear collection, fulfilling their duties as global ambassadors for the brand. The brown, blue, and white color combinations on the guys made for a very fun, yet handsome look.
Not only do the BTS members make statement with their outfits, but they also make statements with their hair! V’s slicked back ‘do with a few strands just vibing out in front of his forehead made for a very classy look. RM opted for a slicked back look as well, but also dyed his hair a very sexy shade of silver. All of the guys made us “sweat like that” with their gorgeous waves before the night officially got started!
Celeb Action
BTS rubbed shoulders with plenty of other massive superstars, and they weren’t shy when it came to smiling for the cameras. The members reunited with the Hot Girl Coach herself Megan Thee Stallion, and paused to take some fire selfies like the hotties they all are!

A Stan-Worthy Stage
ARMYs all over the world know that BTS are some of the greatest performers of all time, and their Grammy performance was another opportunity for them to prove it!
During pre-show interviews, the BTS members stayed rather secretive when asked to share details about their stage. In a chat with People, RM mentioned that the group had “prepared a never before seen performance.” The guys wanted to keep it all a surprise, and it was a very welcome surprise indeed!
BTS’ “Butter” stage was literally a top-secret mission. It all started with Jin seated at a command center, and Jungkook emerging from the ceiling clutching onto the pole he used for his “Euphoria” stages during the Speak Yourself tour. All of a sudden, the rest of the members appeared throughout the audience, smoothly making their way to the stage in a slick spy fashion to perform “Butter.”
A post-chorus dance break allowed the members to gracefully (and carefully) prance across lasers, just like in a spy movie. They also intertwined one another’s jackets, using them as props and pretending to strum them like guitars. Honestly speaking, it’ll probably take me about a month or so to get over how epic this was.
BTS’ “Butter” performance not only reminded the world of the top-tier performance skills and creativity the group possesses, but it also served as a reminder of their resilience and perseverance. Jin has been recovering from a hand injury in March, which has limited his mobility using his left hand and arm for the time being. With his command center skit, Jin was still able to play a critical role in the performance. He then joined the rest of the members on the main stage towards the end for one massive dance number!
Just a week before the show, Jungkook had also tested positive for COVID-19. However, he made a speedy recovery, and was cleared to be a part of the show on April 2. With the level of precision he exhibited during the performance, one wouldn’t have even imagined he had been in quarantine for the entire week leading up to the show.
Now, someone get BTS to record the next James Bond theme song!
Livving For It!
One of the most talked about moments of the night took place at the beginning of BTS’ “Butter” performance! V was seated in the audience next to Olivia Rodrigo, and gave her a mysterious nod. He also whispered into her ear, and she seemed to be enjoying it all! There’s no doubt that V and Olivia were LIVVING their best lives, and one can only hope this won’t be the only duet we see between the two label mates.
We Purple You, Forever!
No single award can sum up BTS’ accomplishments, nor can it sum up the unbreakable bond between BTS and ARMY. While the Grammys may be over, the fun in Vegas for BTS and ARMY is barely getting started! The group will hold four sold-out shows at Allegiant Stadium on April 8, 9, 15, and 16. As one chapter in Bangtan history concludes, another one is getting ready to be written.
