Having previously released tracks such as “No Romeo” and “Nineteen,” Dylan has a tendency to transform her delicate thoughts and emotions into bold, fully charged alt-pop anthems. It’s like a routine, and it continues with “Girl Of Your Dreams,” which features flashy guitar riffs and a pretty clear call-to-action. She’s all you need, and she’ll be the girl of your dreams!
Dylan says, “Girl of Your Dreams is very simple and straight to the point. The day I wrote it, I was feeling a lot of frustration towards someone who sadly had absolutely no interest in me. Ultimately, they hadn’t done anything wrong, so instead of writing a ‘screw you’ song, I wrote a ‘want me!’ song.“
It’s been a minute since since I chatted it up with Dylan, and as you can see and hear, the singer hasn’t toned it down one bit. It’s safe to assume she has no plans on doing so, either!
