Sam DeRosa knows letting go and moving on from someone can be difficult, especially when things may have ended on a rocky note. At the same time, it can be good to hang onto the great moments you had and memories you made. There’s bound to be a few, so listen to her new single “The Good Parts” and dig deep!
A childhood full of musical enrichment and county fair performances led to a fruitful singing and songwriting career for Sam DeRosa. After graduating from Berklee, Sam had her very first official co-writing session and penned lovelytheband’s 2017 hit “broken.” Sam has also written for artists like Dixie, Raiden, Pentatonix and more, as well as her own self! In 2020, Sam released her first EP titled The Medicine, and has continued sharing her stories she sings.
Sam says, “This song is about healing and moving heartache. It’s about choosing to remember the happy times, even though it ended so badly. I got tired of blacking out moments in my past because of the people I shared them with. I started to take some time to forgive both them and myself. This song was born. It’s the title track of my new EP for that reason. It all started here.”
Listen to “The Good Parts” now!
