Julia Michaels Offers Her Last Apology In “Sorry To Me Too”

An empty apology from someone can often be equally (or even more) damaging than the original offense… especially when you’ve heard them one too many times!

Julia Michaels can probably say amen to that, and her new single “Sorry To Me Too” finds her checking in with her own emotions after such a situation. It can be hard to not blame yourself for the actions of others, but there also comes a point where despite the sadness and pain, you just want to move on for good.

Sure enough, “Sorry To Me Too” has a fast-paced beat blended with electronic elements which all come together to create a refreshing sound. Julia is just about finished with an ex, but she has one last message for herself before finishing that chapter of her life. (And then hopefully, ripping it out of a book and tossing it into a fire pit!)

“The new music I have coming is me going through the grieving process of a breakup,” Julia reveals. “You’ll hear me working out what happened, where it went wrong, trying not to blame myself, and getting back to life without this person who I thought would be in it for a really long time. ‘Sorry To Me Too,’ captures that disbelief and anger phase. Like, ‘You say you’re sorry?’ Well, I’m sorry to me too for believing all your bullshit and in the promises that you gave me and told me that I clinged to—that I thought were real.”

New music, you say? Bring it on, Julia!
