Braden Bales has used songwriting not only as a way to find himself, but as a means of letting the world know what goes on in his head isn’t too different than the rest of ours. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter’s new single “PICK ME UP” is his way of sharing the inner battles he’s fought throughout his journey as a rising artist.

Let me just say, I have never met a single… or taken… human who has NEVER dealt with anxiety, stress, or impostor syndrome at any point in their lives. It’s a completely natural, human thing that can be so incredibly difficult to shake off, right? Since Braden Bales is a human, he’s been through it too, and that’s the basis of “PICK ME UP.”

Braden spills, “My new single, ‘PICK ME UP’, is about the evolution of my mental state and how I dealt with it while adjusting to a new environment to pursue my dream. It describes my thoughts and feelings as they progressed from questioning if my career will ever work out to suddenly having things go right after I released ‘CHRONICALLY CAUTIOUS’, and wondering who I am through all of it. I wrote this track incredibly hungover with some friends (Dom Martinez, Spencer Jordan & Vwillz) after a night out in Nashville, and it was the first time I where I felt extremely anxious about my career and started to self-doubt. Maybe it was a little bit of ‘hangxiety’ from the night before, but this song was my way of embracing the emotional rollercoaster of this life I chose for myself and coming to terms with the fact that this is not something my mom can simply come ‘pick me up’ from.”

Braden grew up in Ontario, and has been releasing music since 2021. His previous single “CHRONICALLY CAUTIOUS” went viral, receiving millions of streams and views on Spotify and TikTok. If you ever feel alone, Braden Bales’ music will be there for you whenever, wherever.
