SM Entertainment’s brand new boy group RIIZE just made their debut!

RIIZE is a seven member group comprised of rookies Anton, Eunseok, Seunghan, Sohee, Wonbin, as well as former NCT members Shotaro and Sungchan. The name RIIZE combines the words “rise” and “realize,” which represents a strong vision for “a team that grows as one while achieving their dreams.”

Their first official single is titled “Get A Guitar,” and features fresh, lively melodies for listeners to dance along to. Melodies led by a bass guitar and synth are intertwined with the sweet voices of the members, creating an exciting retro vibe. The music video also shows the members having fun at some pretty iconic spots in LA, such as the Los Angeles Theatre and the 6th Street bridge.

After listening to this song, you might just feel the need to “Get A Guitar” yourself… no pun intended. This song is way too catchy, and way too easy to get stuck in one’s head. Those two elements help create a successful debut single! I’m so incredibly excited to see what’s in store for this team, especially as they help represent the brand new 5th generation of K-Pop.

And no, it’s not too early to call RIIZE “5th gen it boys.”
