When did you get your start making music?
I first started making music when I was really young! It wasn’t much to listen to but I started making music when I was 13.
Who were some of your favorite artists growing up?
I was obsessed with Lady Gaga and Kanye West when I was growing up – I loved their style!

I’m half Japanese, and I was gifted a samurai sword from my uncle just a few years ago.
Tell me about how “New To You” came together! From the writing to recording process, describe the entire experience of putting this song together.
Oh – I wanted to write a song with high energy, a lot of my music can come off as ambient and down tempo – I always try to write an up-tempo song here and there, and when I do, I like it to have a little rock edge to it. That’s where ‘NEW TO YOU’ came from. I had this type of energy in my life and I just wanted to get it out and into a song – I’m not 100% sure if this the direction I want ALL of my music to go but I wanted to at least experiment with more rock elements and I think this became that perfect blend of rock, pop, and ambient trap-pop that I’ve been aiming for. I have a hard time sticking to any one genre, this song just proves that to myself haha.
What’s something you hope to accomplish before the end of 2023?
I’d just like to connect with more people who are like minded, and if I can do that through my music then I would have accomplished everything I wanted to in 2023!

Right now? This might sound odd but I’m OBSESSED with ‘Last Night’ by Morgan Wallen, I know there’s a lot of negative preconceptions around country music, but he’s just flat out a good artist!
