[RECAP!] Wango Tango 2025 Rocks Huntington Beach!

It was a day full of fun in the sun on May 10, as 102.7 KIIS FM brought their iconic Wango Tango concert right to the sands of Huntington City Beach. After taking a break for two years, the iconic iHeartRadio mega concert came back bigger and brighter than ever – with a lineup that felt like a true sweet escape.

Reminiscent of an MTV Spring Break special, 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango featured some of the biggest names in pop music and a legion of global rising stars. The 2025 Wango Tango lineup included Gwen Stefani, Doja Cat, David Guetta, Meghan Trainor, KATSEYE, Hearts2Hearts, A20 May, xikers, and The Next Music Star talent search winners Sorelle!

Here’s a look at some of my favorite moments from this year’s show!

NMIXX took the stage earlier in the day, and their performance was shining as bright as the sun! One of the things I love dearly about NMIXX is that they’re always full of energy and eager to greet their fans, no matter the setting. Joined by a live backing band, the girls performed “See that?,” “DASH,” “Run For Roses,” “Soñar (Breaker),” “DICE,” and my personal favorite, “Love Me Like This.”

As the NMIXX members walked on stage, they were met with the classic K-Pop concert barking as a show of admiration from their fans. While the set was relatively short, NMIXX still managed to mesmerize the Wango Tango crowd with their unique, playful charm. They also took a moment to show their appreciation to their fans cheering them on! Haewon said, “It’s such an honor to be here at Wango Tango where so many legendary artists have performed.”

Shortly after NMIXX’s set, my friend Damion and I hurried backstage to meet another K-Pop girl group I hold dear to my heart, Hearts2Hearts! Prior to the girls walking out for the photo op, Damion and I were brainstorming what we could possibly do for a fun pose. As the members walked in, I led a very gentle (emphasis on gentle!) bark for the girls, which they warmly received!

We decided to do the famous “cheek heart” pose that is likely second nature to the majority of K-Pop idols. All of the Hearts2Hearts members instantly joined in!

Hearts2Hearts made their debut in February 2025 with the ultra-cool and catchy single “The Chase.” The girls are scheduled to make a comeback in June, and I am definitely looking forward to what they’ve prepared!

While there’s many words that could be used to describe KATSEYE’s performance, the most fitting word that anyone could use is GNARLY. Speaking of, this was the first time KATSEYE performed their new single “Gnarly” in America. Despite a small hiccup with the audio at the beginning of their set, KATSEYE didn’t miss a single beat, and their passionate fans (known as EYEKONS) sang along the entire time!

Lara said, “We have been wanting to perform on this stage for so long! This is our first time at Wango Tango, so thank you for having us.”

Daniela added, “Thank you to everybody for making our very first Wango Tango so much fun!”

KATSEYE also performed “Debut,” “My Way,” “Tonight I Might,” and “Touch.” They also reminded everyone to keep an eye out for their upcoming EP Beautiful Chaos, which will be released on June 27. Pre-save it here!

Orange County native Gwen Stefani returned to her old stomping grounds for an iconic Wango Tango performance! Performing her hits such as “The Sweet Escape,” “Hollaback Girl,” “Hella Good,” “Rich Girl” and more, Gwen took audiences on a pleasant trip down memory lane. Gwen and No Doubt’s music was a huge part of the soundtrack to my childhood, and it’s truly generational!

Every time I’ve seen Doja Cat live, I’ve known to just expect the unexpected. From catching her at previous iHeartRadio concerts to being at her headlining Coachella set in 2024, I’ve always been so impressed by her performances! For her Wango Tango performance, Doja led a set full of glitz, glamour, and hits that sent fans into a nearly hour long frenzy. I truly wasn’t expecting to hear my favorite songs from Planet Her – “Ain’t S**t” and “Get Into It (Yuh),” but being able to sing along to them with Doja being just a few feet away from me was so much fun!

Thank you to iHeartMedia Los Angeles for another unforgettable experience!
