Alt-pop duo joan has been booked and busy this year releasing a series of refreshing singles, including a collaboration with K-Pop group EPEX!
If you’re obsessed with everything joan has been up to recently, you’re bound to love their brand new track “body language.” The song explores the feeling of being excited about a first impression, and being eager to discover more about this person.
As the group says, “It’s about meeting someone and wanting to learn everything about them—literally being a student of who they are. Learning their personality, their quirks, their ‘language.’”
“body language” was born via Instagram, when joan discovered an artist named Shane Becker. The duo elaborates, “He’s a brilliant producer out of New Jersey who never releases any music—just 30-second clips on socials—but they are INSANE. We reached out to him that day to see if he’d want to work on something, and that idea became ‘body language.’”
As fans enjoy “body language,” joan promises even more great music to arrive soon! The duo has just announced they’ll be releasing their new album, this won’t last forever, later this year. joan will also be hitting the road with Bloc Party over the next few weeks, with shows starting on May 30 in Boston.
