[PICS!] Remy Bond @ House of Blues San Diego – June 19, 2025

Remy Bond is an artist who is like a breath of fresh air… or better yet, a cool breeze flowing from the Southern California coast on a sunny day! The singer-songwriter on the rise is known for her glamorous vintage aesthetic and a sound that reflects Americana influences.

In June 2024, Remy Bond released her breakout single “Summer Song,” which garnered over 20 million streams worldwide and helped the singer assemble a legion of devoted fans. Maybe it’s her colorful visuals that will mesmerize you, or the natural dreamy element her songs possess. Her gentle voice glides over music seamlessly, transporting listeners to a dimension where nostalgia and a dream of a better tomorrow float alongside one another. Whatever it may be that draws you into Bond’s music, a magical feeling is always guaranteed – and it was time to create that magic in person!

A year since releasing “Summer Song,” Remy Bond embarked on The Star Shaped Baby Tour. The 21 city tour made a stop in San Diego on July 19 at the House of Blues Voodoo Room, with fans filling every corner of the venue dressed in fun summer clothing. Before Bond made her entrance to the stage, two dancers dressed as waitresses waltzed together on the stage to “Beauty School Dropout” from Grease. Shortly after, Bond arrived wearing a whimsical dress decorated in images of the album cover of Supertramp’s legendary 1979 album Breakfast in America.

For the next hour, it was all about being present in the moment as Bond delivered enchanting performances of songs such as “Simple Girl,” “Benzo Queen,” “Don’t Go Back To Paris,” and more. Bond also treated the audience to a very fitting cover of Supertramp’s “Goodbye Stranger,” and a handful of unreleased songs. Towards the end of the night, everyone in the audience was jumping ecstatically to “Moviestar,” Bond’s latest single which offers a nod to vibrant disco music from the 70s. It felt like a “happily ever after” moment, and the kind of core memory any live music aficionado hopes they will make at countless concerts to come.
