It’s comeback time for EVNNE! The group just released their fifth mini album LOVE ANECDOTE(S), which is their second release of the year.
LOVE ANECDOTE(S) is comprised of six eclectic songs, which collectively offers listeners a look at love through EVNNE’s unique perspective. The project is spearheaded by the title track “How Can I Do,” a hip-hop inspired song that finds the members vowing to go to great lengths all to win over someone’s love. The song is playful, flirtatious, and most notably, creates a cool, easy listening experience for fans.
“How Can I Do” also introduces fans to a more mature version of EVNNE, which is exactly what the members wanted! JUNGHYUN said, “We tried working on various genres to show how much we have matured so far through [LOVE ANECDOTE(S)]. I hope you give much love and support to the new side of EVNNE that hasn’t been shared yet!”
The album features dance-leaning tracks such as “Mako” and “PUT IT ON ME,” and an ethereal, futuristic sound on “love chat.” LOVE ANECDOTE(S) concludes with the explosive track “Newest,” which features a heavy-hitting sound that has been a staple among many 5th Generation K-Pop boy groups. It’s a special track for the group too, as EVNNE’s leader KEITA participated in writing the song!
KEITA says, “I went through a lot of consideration in bringing each member’s sound and strengths when I was working on ‘Newest.’ Now, I’m very proud to showcase what kind of group EVNNE truly is with this track!”
As EVNNE continue to grow and develop their artistry, LOVE ANECDOTE(S) is a clear sign that the group is on the right path. This mini album also arrives as the group prepares for the US and Europe legs of their ‘SET N GO’ World Tour.
