C9 Entertainment’s new boy group NAZE is here!

The seven member team just released their self-titled debut mini album, NAZE. The name NAZE (pronounced like the word “maze” with an N instead of m) means headland, which is where a body of water like an ocean meets high land. The group members chose this name in hopes that it would represent their desire to stand tall and move forward anywhere.

Prior to their debut, NAZE was featured in the Japanese drama Dream Stage. The group also released a few songs for the drama’s soundtrack earlier this year. Now with their Korean debut, members KAISEI, YOUNKI, ATO, TURN, YUYA, KIMKUN, and DOHYEOK are sharing songs that showcase moments and feelings from their everyday lives. Overall, the four song mini album has an upbeat feeling that captures a sense of excitement towards a new beginning. The title track “People Talk” is super catchy, and encourages listeners to keep moving forward despite the opinions of others who try to slow them down.

Member YOUNKI shared, “Our debut album, NAZE, captures the reality of our daily lives. Rather than sharing extravagant lore or fantasy stories, we wanted to showcase our current time and how we’re spending it as honestly as possible.”
