It can be so difficult to cut ties with someone you know isn’t good for you. Sometimes you just keep finding your way back to them, and there’s always an excuse for it. Nina Baumer’s new single “Bad Excuse” will tell you about hers!

Nina Baumer was born in Chicago, and raised in Australia. Prior to moving to the United States, Nina already had plenty of notable performances under her belt. She has performed on shows such as Australia’s School Spectacular, The Netball World Cup Opening Ceremony, and The Voice – Australia. Nina now lives in Los Angeles, and is ready to satisfy your cravings for music you can dance to!

“Bad Excuse” puts Nina’s powerhouse vocals on display in the brightest way possible, and is the first of many songs Nina has in store for the rest of the year. Nina shared, “By the time I had tracked the final vocals, this song became the perfect first song to release to show listeners which way I am heading sonically.”

Nina also wants everyone to know that there’s only “bad excuses” for eligible voters to not hit the polls in November or vote by mail! She encourages everyone to make sure they’re all ready to roll for this upcoming election, and get informed with Rock The Vote’s resource links.

Listen to “Bad Excuse” below.

“‘Bad Excuse’ was written about a not so great person with four of my great friends. The session was initially not even for me as an artist. We all just wanted to get into a session, write, play and create.” – Nina Baumer
