It’s Time To Give Max Leone A High-‘5’!

Clyde Munroe

Max Leone made his debut with Darkroom Records earlier this year with his first single “First Grade.” Plenty has happened since then, including an exciting production collaboration with Alexander 23, and tons of praise from critics.

It’s no surprise that the world has changed vastly since January. So, with Max’s new single “5,” he’s using it as an opportunity to dig deep and depart from certain aspects of his life.

“Recently I’ve been faced with a lot of tough, existential questions regarding how I perceive the world around me and my role in it,” Max says. “In confronting this, I also find myself saying goodbye to certain pieces of a previous self. ‘5’ is about that loss of innocence.”

Max Leone was born and raised in Portland, and started playing the guitar when he was seven years old. Later on, he began to experiment with other instruments, such as the violin, drums, and piano. He started creating his own material, and went on to attend the Berklee College of Music. After one year, he left Berklee and moved to LA to pursue music full time.

“5” follows Max’s July release “Malleable.” And of course, this is just the beginning!
