Keep Carmen DeLeon’s New Single ‘Pasado’ Around!

Nina Rodrigues

It’s time to leave any and all bad vibes in the past. Why, you may ask? Because Carmen DeLeon is back with her new banger “Pasado,” that’s why!

We’ve been hearing new tunes from Carmen DeLeon each month since the year started. In January, Carmen kicked things off with “Cafécito,” a beautiful tribute to loved ones that have been lost. Then in February, Carmen sent us into a dance break with “Shake,” a fun collaboration with L.L.A.M.A and NE-YO! Now we’re in March, and “Pasado” is here to encourage us to fill our lives with people who truly value us.

Carmen says, “‘Pasado’ was written with my friends Mauricio, Alejandro and Andrés and was inspired by a breakup with my boyfriend. I was no longer in a relationship with him but was reliving the times I had with him in the past and wondered what it would be like to be with him again. The song tells the story of being okay with missing that person, while reassuring the listener to be with a person that will really love and respect you.”

Cali y El Dandee (Alejandro Rengifo and Mauricio Rengifo) are musical masters who have amassed over five billion combined streams. Working with these two on “Pasado” was yet another power move for Carmen. The track was produced by Mauricio and Andrés Torres, who have also produced multi-Platinum hits such as Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito.”
